Gaza Medical Points Project

Restoring Health and Hope in South Gaza

Global Mission

About Gaza Medical Points

The healthcare crisis in Gaza has reached alarming levels, with 32 out of 36 hospitals damaged and 20 currently non-functional. Overcrowded hospitals are struggling to serve a population of 1.5 million, of whom 40% are children under the age of 10. In response, the Gaza Medical Points Project is working to establish specialized medical points near the Nasser Medical Complex to deliver essential care for chronic conditions, including diabetes, vascular diseases, and advanced wound care. The project will include 4 outpatient units dedicated to diabetes care, vascular care, wound care, and nutritional support, along with an inpatient facility offering 8 surgical beds.

With a project budget of $1,100,000, we are committed to providing critical medical support to those most in need. Your support can help us deliver life-saving treatment and restore hope to countless individuals, including children, in Gaza. Donate today to make a lasting impact.

Where We’ve Made a Difference

Our Healthcare Program

Explore how we transform and empower communities through five sectors of intervention:

Mobile Health Clinics

Mobile Health Clinics bring essential medical services directly to underserved and remote communities where access to healthcare facilities is limited. These clinics provide basic medical check-ups, diagnosis, treatment, maternal care, and preventive health services, ensuring patients receive timely care without the burden of long and costly travel. By reaching vulnerable populations at their doorstep, mobile clinics help prevent disease, promote early treatment, and improve overall community health.

Building/Sponsoring Hospitals

Building and sponsoring hospitals strengthens local healthcare systems and ensures communities have access to reliable, long-term medical care. By supporting the construction of new facilities and enhancing existing hospitals, critical services such as emergency care, surgeries, maternal health, and specialized treatments become accessible to those who need them most. These efforts help improve healthcare quality, reduce travel burdens for patients, and save countless lives through better medical infrastructure.

In 2013, ICNA Relief Canada disbursed $11,000 for our health care project in Bangladesh, through local partner organizations. We also contributed $247,272 toward construction of the Al-Shifa Hospital in India. Other medical and health care contributions in India included: $37,300 to treat 25 seriously ill patients; $23,782 for our Mobile Health Unit; and $43,440 for the medical care of 18,000 needy individuals.

In Pakistan during 2013, ICNA Relief Canada disbursed $221,000 for a Mother and Child Healthcare Centre, which will be completed this year, Insha’Allah. Additionally, we sent $1,372 for the treatment of Orphan Children, and $1,000 for the Shaukat Khanum Hospital.

Ambulance Services

Ambulance Services play a critical role in saving lives by ensuring patients receive immediate medical attention during emergencies. Timely transportation to hospitals and healthcare facilities can make the difference between life and death, especially for accident victims, critically ill patients, and those in remote areas. By supporting ambulance services, communities gain faster emergency response, improved patient care, and greater access to urgent medical treatment when it matters most.

Medical Equipment (in-kind donations)

Medical Equipment (In-Kind Donations) programs help strengthen healthcare facilities by providing essential medical tools and technology needed for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Many hospitals and clinics in underserved areas lack the resources to purchase modern equipment, limiting the quality of care they can provide to patients.

Through in-kind donations of vital medical equipment such as diagnostic machines, surgical instruments, hospital beds, and monitoring devices, healthcare providers are better equipped to serve patients efficiently and safely. These contributions improve treatment capacity, enhance patient care, and help medical facilities save more lives within their communities.

Prevention of Blindness

Prevention of Blindness programs focus on protecting and restoring vision for individuals suffering from avoidable eye conditions. Many people in underserved communities lose their sight due to untreated infections, cataracts, and other preventable diseases simply because they lack access to proper medical care and eye treatment services.

Through vision screenings, medical treatments, corrective procedures, and awareness initiatives, blindness prevention efforts help detect eye conditions early and provide timely care. These programs not only restore sight but also improve quality of life, enabling individuals to live independently, pursue education, and support their families.

Immunization Services

Immunization Services protect vulnerable communities from preventable diseases by ensuring children and adults receive essential vaccines on time. In many underserved areas, limited access to healthcare increases the risk of outbreaks that can cause serious illness and long-term complications.

Through organized vaccination campaigns and community health initiatives, immunization programs help prevent the spread of infectious diseases, reduce child mortality, and promote healthier populations. These services play a vital role in safeguarding public health and giving families peace of mind through reliable disease prevention.

Diagnostic Centres

Diagnostic Centres play a vital role in early detection and accurate diagnosis of medical conditions, enabling patients to receive timely and effective treatment. Many underserved communities lack access to proper testing facilities, leading to delayed diagnoses and worsening health complications.

By establishing and supporting diagnostic centres equipped with modern testing equipment, communities gain access to essential services such as laboratory testing, imaging, and health screenings. These centres improve healthcare outcomes, support informed medical decisions, and help save lives through early and reliable diagnosis.

Frequently Asked Questions

As a leader to empower lives, creating opportunities and strengthen the bond of humanity.

1. What is the Water for Life Program?

The Water for Life Program is an initiative by ICNA Relief Canada that provides sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water in vulnerable communities. Through the construction of water wells and community water systems, the program helps improve health, sanitation, and quality of life.

ICNA Relief Canada’s water projects are implemented in regions facing severe water scarcity, including Pakistan, India, East Africa, and Somalia. These projects are designed to serve entire communities and provide long-term water solutions.

Access to clean water reduces waterborne diseases, improves hygiene and sanitation, and allows families to spend more time on education, work, and community development instead of searching for water.

You can support the program by making a donation to help fund the construction of wells and water systems. Every contribution helps provide safe drinking water and creates lasting change for communities in need.

Yes. ICNA Relief Canada focuses on building sustainable water infrastructure that communities can maintain and benefit from for many years. Projects are designed to meet local needs and provide reliable access to clean water.
